PROJECT MANAGER | PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT LEADERSHIP SERIES
TRANSFORMATION

In the fall of 2025, MBI launched the fully transformed Project Manager/Project Superintendent Series (PMPS) following an in-depth review process shaped by member input and graduate feedback. A focus group of past participants was convened to evaluate what aspects of the previous program were most effective and where improvements were needed. Their insights guided the development of a new curriculum, refreshed structure, taking it outside of West Des Moines, and an enhanced lineup of presenters. They emphasized the need for collaboration between project managers and superintendents, fostering teamwork, communication, and accountability as essential drivers of project success.
Featuring nationally recognized experts, the updated program delivers interactive, high-impact sessions that strengthen both leadership and operational excellence across Iowa’s construction industry. The refreshed program structure encourages actual collaboration between project managers and superintendents, reinforcing the shared responsibility they have in achieving quality, safety, and profitability. Participants leave with actionable strategies for implementation and a renewed sense of purpose in their leadership roles. One attendee summarized the experience by saying -
“This series was one of the most engaging and relevant trainings I’ve attended—every session offered something I could take back to my team and use immediately. Being with my teammate during the series, truly created a bond that I can leverage to better understand where they are coming from.”
