In 2025, MBI proudly launched the transformed Foundations of a Field Leader program, featuring renowned industry expert Nic Bittle, author of Good Foreman, Bad Foreman and Know This, Do That. With 34 member participants, this reimagined program delivered high-energy, practical training that resonated deeply with attendees—many calling it “the best class I’ve ever taken.” Designed to strengthen leadership, communication, risk management, and personal effectiveness, the program equips emerging and current field leaders with the tools to manage time, materials, equipment, and—most importantly—people. Nic’s engaging approach and real-world insight inspired participants to rethink how they coach, communicate, and lead their teams, setting a new standard for field leadership development within Iowa’s construction industry.
