What started as a project to highlight the incredible work that our members, their staff, and companies are doing in their own communities has turned out so much more! The MBI Cares Mission set out to tell the stories of generosity and philanthropy from MBI members.

It’s built off that foundation and turned into a call to action for our MBI staff as well. More specifically, we decided as a staff that we would rotate choosing different non-profits each month to support either financially or through an act of service. After Year 1, we’re proud to report our "12 Months of Giving Campaign” contributed to the following fun stats:

• $18,800 worth of cash contributions or in-kind supplies 

• 10 different non-profits (Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Headbands of Hope, Ronald McDonald House, Variety Telethon, American Heart Association, Iowa Food Bank Association, Blue Star Mothers of Iowa, Construction Angels, Can Do Cancer, Toys for Tots) 

• 7 Days of Service 

• 4 Corners of the State supported 

• 100% chance that we will do it again next year!
